Focus on Alcoholism. WA State Department of Health, 1960-1970.

The first Focus periodical published in the state of Washington began in 1960, and ran until 1970:

“In Volume 1, Number 1 of October 1960, Dr. Bernard Bucove, then Director of the State Department of  Health, launched a publication titled “Focus.”  A new bi-monthly publication dedicated to the Alcoholism Program. Dr. Bucoe haled the fledgling newsletter as “A step forward, following the State Alcoholism Program Advisory Committee recommendation that people be provided with current information about alcoholism.” FOCUS.  Bureau of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
